Roronoa Zoro is a fictional swordsman from Eiichiro Oda's manga and anime One Piece. Born in the East Blue and raised in Shimotsuki Village, he trained at the Isshin Dojo and became first mate and main combatant of the Straw Hat Pirates. Before that he was a bounty hunter known as the Pirate Hunter.\n\nHe is known for his three-sword style, his bounty of 1,111,000,000 berries, and his famously terrible sense of direction. What drives him is a promise he made to his late childhood friend Kuina to become the world's greatest swordsman, and he has carried her sword, Wado Ichimonji, since.\n\
