# your dashboard

> a quick tour of folk.com/dashboard. you never need it to use folk, but it's where you see and change things.

you use folk by texting it. the [dashboard](https://folk.com/dashboard) is
where you look things over and change settings. sign in with your phone number.

## the tabs

  - home: who folk is right now, your characters, your skills, and what's coming up today.
  - skills: browse and add skills. see the ones you have and remove any.
  - characters: your characters, plus a gallery of ones other people made.
  - routines: everything folk does on a schedule. pause or resume any of them.

## the menu

tap **menu** (bottom right on your phone, top right on a computer).

- **your profile**: name, photo, @handle, and your public page.
- **vault**: logins, cards, and addresses folk can use for you. see [privacy & safety](/docs/privacy).
- **lore**: everything folk remembers about you. see [memory](/docs/memory).
- **activity**: what folk did for you this week.
- **personality**: how folk writes to you. shorter, funnier, no emojis, whatever you like.
- **voice & calls**: pick folk's phone voice.
- **connected apps**: email, calendar, bank, and the rest.
- **main app**: which messaging app folk texts you in first.
- **folk's email and phone**: folk's own email address and phone number.
- **plan & billing**: your plan, upgrade, pause, or cancel.
- **invite friends**: your link and what you've earned.
- **groups**: group chats folk is in and what it remembers there.
- **privacy**: erase memory, reset folk, or delete your account.
