## ask folk

just text it: "something's broken", "i was charged twice", "how do i change my
plan?". folk answers what it can. if you want a person, folk sends your
message to the folk team, and **their reply comes back in the same chat**. no
support portal, no extra inbox.

## is folk down?

check [folk.com/status](https://folk.com/status). it shows whether iMessage,
Telegram, and WhatsApp are working right now, and any recent problems.

## got an idea?

send it through **dashboard → menu → feedback**. the best ideas get a reward.

## common questions

**folk isn't replying**

check [folk.com/status](https://folk.com/status) first. if everything looks
fine, send another message. if it still doesn't answer, try from another app
you've connected (like Telegram), or reset folk in **dashboard → menu →
privacy**. your memory stays.

**folk texts me too much**

tell it "fewer messages" or "don't text me after 9". to pause folk's own
messages completely, text **MUTE**. see [talking to folk](/docs/talking-to-folk).

**how do i cancel?**

**dashboard → menu → plan & billing → cancel**. you keep pro until the end of
what you paid for. you can also pause for 30 days instead.

**can folk see my passwords?**

no. when a site needs you to log in, you type it yourself on the page folk
sends you. anything you save in the vault is locked and never shown in chat.

**can i use folk on my computer?**

yes. use iMessage on your Mac, or Telegram or WhatsApp on any computer. it's
the same folk.
