# privacy & safety

> how folk keeps your stuff private, and the buttons to erase, reset, or delete everything.

## the short version

- **we don't train AI on your data.** your chats and memories are yours.
- **your own space.** folk runs on a computer set aside just for you, not
  shared with anyone.
- **folk asks first.** anything that sends, buys, books, or shares waits for
  your ok.
- **your bank is read-only.** folk can see it, never move money from it.
- **secrets stay out of chat.** logins, cards, and PINs go in your vault and
  are never shown again, not even to you.

## the reset buttons

all in **dashboard → menu → privacy**:

  - erase folk's memory: wipes every memory and your chat history. keeps your account, plan, and apps.
  - reset folk: gives folk a fresh start on its computer. your memory stays.
  - delete your account: removes everything, for good. no emailing us to cancel.

## good to know

- folk only ever calls **your own number** and businesses you approve.
- disconnect any app, or your bank, in **dashboard → menu → connected apps**.
