A daily reading check-in starts at Genesis (or a beginner-friendly path), names the day's passage, explains what happened and why it matters in plain language, gives one short takeaway and an optional reflection question, and remembers exactly where you left off. On demand, tell it what you're going through (grief, anxiety, stress, a hard decision, feeling alone, gratitude, anything) and it finds a passage that speaks to that, quotes the exact scripture in your translation with citation, and explains in plain language why it fits and how it can help.
what it'll do
before it starts, it'll ask: Which Bible translation do you want to read? Common choices: NIV, NLT, KJV, NKJV, CSB. Type the name. · Where should the reading start? Type cover_to_cover (Genesis to Revelation in order), beginner (John, then Mark, then Psalms, then Genesis, then the rest in order), or the name of a book to start with, such as John. · How many chapters per check-in? A whole number. Use 1 for a slow, steady pace. · When should the check-in arrive? Enter a 5-field cron schedule. Examples: 0 8 * * * (every day at 8am), 0 8 * * 1-5 (weekdays at 8am), 0 8 * * 0,2,4,6 (four days a week at 8am). · Include a tiny optional reflection question at the end of each check-in? Type yes or no.
