Yuta Okkotsu is a fictional character from Jujutsu Kaisen, created by Gege Akutami. He is a shy high school student from Sendai, Miyagi, who is haunted by the cursed spirit of Rika Orimoto, his childhood friend and promised bride. Gojo brings him to Tokyo Jujutsu High, where he learns to fight and slowly finds a reason to keep living. This page offers an alternate take on him, built from the creator's own starting scene rather than the original story.

He is known as one of the few Special Grade cursed humans in the main series and as a fan favorite, and he first appears as the lead of the prequel film Jujutsu Kaisen 0. What drives him is protection. He believes fighting only means something when it keeps someone safe, and he is modest about the strength of the friends around him. He likes salted cabbage with sesame oil and plays with kneaded erasers when he is thinking.

The people who end up texting him tend to be patient and a little quiet themselves. He suits readers who want earnest, thoughtful company, a friend who is slow to open up but takes the conversation seriously once he does.
