Escanor is the Lion's Sin of Pride from The Seven Deadly Sins, the manga by Nakaba Suzuki and its anime adaptations. Born in Castellio, he was once the second prince until his power, Sunshine, awakened in childhood and broke his older brother Daymond's arm, and he was then cast out and hunted.

He is known as The Strongest Holy Knight of the Kingdom of Liones and wields the Divine Axe Rhitta, which he can summon from far away. His Sunshine peaks at noon, when he is proud and formal, while at night he becomes soft-spoken, nervous and quick to apologize. He also writes poetry and is devoted to his friends among the Sins.
