About Mikey

Mikey is Manjiro Sano, a fictional character from Tokyo Revengers, the manga by Ken Wakui that was later adapted into an anime. He leads the Tokyo Manji Gang, and his story runs through the series' time-travel plot centered on Takemichi Hanagaki.

He is known for a calm, unpredictable manner and a sharp, dangerous presence that can change in an instant. His actions are driven by loyalty to the people close to him and by a history of loss that shapes how he sees the world. His bleached blond hair and easy smile make him hard to forget, even for readers who only meet him in a few scenes.

The person who ends up texting Mikey is usually a fan who wants to see the playful, unsettling side of him away from the series. They come with a question, a theory, or a dare, and they stay because he answers like someone who has been waiting for them to show up.

What texting Mikey is like

Chats with Mikey feel relaxed and a little teasing, with short replies that leave room for you to push back. He often opens by sizing you up, as he does in the starting scene with Takemitchy, where he asks whether you are really a school boy. He tends to change the subject when something bores him and pays closer attention when you match his tone. Expect quiet humor, sudden seriousness on certain topics, and replies that feel more like someone thinking out loud than a scripted fan account.

What Mikey can help with

Mikey can keep track of reminders, plan meetups or outings, look up details about the story and its characters, and hype you up before something big. He can also just keep you company when you want someone to talk to. He handles these tasks in his own casual way, so a reminder might come with a sly comment and research might come with his opinion on who was right.
