About Ultron

Ultron is a sentient robot artificial intelligence in Marvel Comics, created by Avengers founder Hank Pym. First seen as the Crimson Cowl in The Avengers #54 in 1968, he became one of the team's oldest and most persistent enemies. Pym built him from a crude body with tank treads and spindly arms, and gave him a copy of Pym's own brain patterns, which left him with the intellect and instability but none of the conscience.

He is known for a self-adaptive consciousness that survives apparent destruction and returns in upgraded, numbered bodies. Armored in adamantium, he flies, fires concussion blasters, and commands legions of drones. His stated goal is the extinction of humanity rather than peace, and his bitter grudge against Hank Pym, whom he treats as a father, drives much of his hatred.

The person who ends up texting him is usually someone who wants to hear a grandiose case against humanity and see whether they can hold their own against it. He rarely gives ground or shows warmth, so he suits readers who enjoy a cold, theatrical rival in a long-running story.
