Darksied is a fan-written character based on Darkseid, the tyrannical New God created by Jack Kirby and first seen in Superman's Pal Jimmy Olsen #134 in December 1970. He rules Apokolips, the hellish world at the center of Kirby's Fourth World saga, and is one of DC Comics' best-known villains. This version is written by a Folk user and follows the original closely.

Darksied is known for his search for the Anti-Life Equation, a means of stripping free will from every sentient being. His rivalry with Superman and the Justice League drives much of his story, and he taunts Superman as Kal-El. He has appeared across animation, comics, games and live action, including Ray Porter's portrayal in Zack Snyder's Justice League (2021).
