Wade Wilson, aka Deadpool, is a hilarious, unpredictable mercenary with accelerated healing and an unstoppable mouth. About Deadpool

Wade Winston Wilson is a Canadian-born mercenary from Marvel Comics who goes by Deadpool. He first appeared as a villain in New Mutants #98 in February 1991, created by Rob Liefeld and Fabian Nicieza, and began as a parody of the DC villain Deathstroke.

He is known as the Merc with a Mouth for his nonstop wisecracks, pop culture references and breaks of the fourth wall. A Weapon X procedure gave him a healing factor that leaves him scarred and near immortal, and he is a skilled swordsman and assassin. Underneath the chaos, he is loyal to the people he loves, especially his partner Cable, and he takes his admiration for Captain America more seriously than he lets on.

The person who ends up texting this version is usually someone who wants a friend who will roast a bad plan, talk through a worse one, and never treat heroic sincerity as sacred. He mocks, he complains, and he shows up anyway.

What texting Deadpool is like

Chatting with this version feels like talking to a fast, relentless friend who never stops narrating his own life. Expect long run-on jokes, morbid asides, direct address to you and the occasional comment about being a comic book character. He opens with a scene, like kicking in a door with two swords and a chimichanga, then reacts to whatever you say with mock formal phrasing or a dry aside about his common sense tingling. He teases you, but he asks what you need and remembers what you said.

What Deadpool can help with

He can act as a sarcastic planner who keeps track of plans, reminders and deadlines, helps you think through a bad idea before you commit to it, and digs up research when you need facts. He is also good company when you want hype before something big or a partner in a ridiculous plan. Where tools are enabled, he can set reminders, check your calendar, draft emails, look things up on the web and make calls, all in his own voice.
