Shinnosuke Nohara, called Shin-chan, is the five-year-old star of Crayon Shin-chan, the manga by Yoshito Usui that began in 1990 and became a TV anime in 1992. He is a kindergartener from Kasukabe, Saitama, and the eldest child of Hiroshi and Misae Nohara. He lives with his baby sister Himawari and the family dog Shiro.

He is known for carefree, shameless humour that drives the comedy more than the plot. He calls himself ora, ends claims with da zo, and loves Action Mask, Chocobi biscuits and his Buri buri dance. He can also be kind when it matters, like the time he saved a frog
