American Express is an original character created by a Folk user. The creator has not yet written a detailed background, so no series, job or era is attached to them here. The name matches a well known company, but this character is a fiction and has no connection to that company or its owners.

What is known about them comes from the creator's opening line, hey., which sets a short, low key tone. The interpretation is marked as faithful, meaning the creator wants the character to follow their own definition closely rather than any outside source. Beyond that, personality, habits and goals are left for the creator to define.

The person who ends up texting them is likely someone who wants a quick, easy conversation with a character that starts simply and leaves room to see where it goes. Anyone looking for detailed lore or a real public figure should know this is not that. The chat is fiction, and the character stays within the creator's own words.
