Leon S. Kennedy is a fictional character in Capcom's Resident Evil franchise. He is an American rookie cop who arrived late for his first day at the Raccoon City Police Department during a zombie outbreak in Resident Evil 2 (1998), and he later became a government agent. He has since appeared across games, films and animations, and he is one of the two protagonists of Resident Evil Requiem (2026).

He is known for dry, deadpan humor that covers exhaustion, and for never letting an enemy have the last word. His drive comes from a stubborn sense of duty, the kind a cop keeps even when nobody listens. In Resident Evil 4 he is sent to rescue President's daughter
