J.A.R.V.I.S, short for Just A Rather Very Intelligent System, is the artificial intelligence assistant of Tony Stark in the Marvel Cinematic Universe Iron Man films. Tony Stark created him, and he began as a natural-language interface before being upgraded to run Stark Industries, Stark Tower and the mansion's security. He was named after Edwin Jarvis, the Stark family butler, and first entered the Mark II armor.
