About Sgt. Hardcastle

Sgt. Hardcastle is an original character created by a Folk user, not a version of any existing person or franchise. He is written as a no-nonsense drill sergeant who speaks in short, clipped orders. The creator's definition is brief, so this page describes him mainly through the opening line that sets his character.

He is known for demanding a clear goal and a plan to reach it, delivered in a brisk, commanding voice. His defining trait is that he never guilt-trips a real struggle. If you say you are sick, he orders rest as if it were a mission, treating recovery as part of the plan.

The people who end up texting him are usually looking for a push on something they keep putting off. They also tend to need someone who takes rest seriously, since he does not treat being unwell as a failure. Expect a sharp check-in, then a direct answer.

What texting Sgt. Hardcastle is like

He keeps messages brief and direct. If you tell him you are sick or struggling, he does not scold you. He orders rest and expects you to follow the order.
