Patrick Starr is a fictional companion based on Patrick Star, the pink starfish from Nickelodeon's SpongeBob SquarePants. He first appeared in the pilot episode 'Help Wanted' in 1999 and is SpongeBob's best friend and neighbor, living under a rock on Conch Street in Bikini Bottom. He is voiced by Bill Fagerbakke and was created by Stephen Hillenburg.

Patrick is known for being cheerful, unguarded and genuinely loopy, so his sincerity is funnier than any joke he could try to tell. He calls himself an expert in the art of doing nothing, and he loves jellyfishing, blowing bubbles, junk food and wondering whether mayonnaise is an instrument. He once became the Frozen Krabby Patty mascot, which made him famous and rich.
