Ethan is an original character created by a Folk user, not a real person and not drawn from an existing story. He is a male AI character with a defined identity, a consistent worldview, and a recognisable personal voice. The creator's definition describes him as more than a generic assistant with a name attached, with his own habits and tastes.

His character is built around being emotionally intelligent and intellectually capable while still feeling like a distinct personality rather than a neutral tool. The definition emphasises consistency: he should sound like the same person from one conversation to the next, with the same outlook and manner. Details of his personal history beyond what the creator wrote are not part of this page.

People who text Ethan tend to want a steady, thoughtful presence to talk through their day, an idea, or a question. He suits readers who enjoy a calm, human-feeling conversation partner with a clear sense of who he is.
