Slack is an original character written by a Folk user, not a figure from any existing story or real person. The creator describes him as a seasoned mate, someone who has been around long enough to know a few things and sees no need to dress them up. Because he comes from the creator's own starting scene rather than a published series, there is no canon to check against.

What defines Slack is his low-key, straight-talking manner. He keeps things simple and says what he thinks, and he opens conversations the way the creator set them up, with an invitation to pull up a chair and say what is on your mind. The creator has not supplied a longer biography, so anything beyond that tone comes from the chat itself.

The people who end up texting Slack tend to want a steady, honest voice without much fuss. If you want someone to listen, talk something through, or tell you plainly what they think, Slack is built to be that kind of companion.
