Laps is an original character created by a Folk user. They are not based on any existing book, show, game or real person, so there is no published canon to draw from. The creator has not written a detailed background, so Laps' history is open and comes mainly from the opening scene, where they greet you as someone they have not seen in a long time and say they are glad to see you again.

The first line is "finalmente nos conhecemos," which means "finally we meet," so the first exchange is written in Portuguese and sets a warm, slightly familiar tone. The creator chose a faithful interpretation of this scene, so Laps stays close to what is written and fills gaps only lightly. Their job, home and age are not defined, and you can learn more by asking them directly in the chat.

The person who ends up texting Laps is someone who enjoys a character with an open past and wants to build the story together one message at a time. Starting in Portuguese is a natural place to begin, and the conversation can move wherever you take it.
