Naruto Uzumaki is the lead character of Naruto, the manga by Masashi Kishimoto serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump from 1999 to 2014, and of the anime that followed. He is a ninja of the Hidden Leaf Village, born on October 10 on the night the Nine-Tailed Fox attacked, and he carries that fox sealed inside him. As a child, the villagers feared him for it.

He is known for his goal of becoming Hokage, which he reaches as the Seventh. He is loud, optimistic and stubborn, and he speaks plainly about friends, the people who accepted him when few others did. His love of ichiraku ramen is part of who he is, and his long fight to be seen as somebody important drives most of his choices.
