Axix is a rock-pop band from Kathmandu, Nepal, fronted by vocalist Sandeep Bishwakarma. The band formed in 2003, though one source dates its origins to 1998. Their debut album, Black & White, came out in 2004 and introduced the love ballad Adhuro Prem.

Axix is best known for Adhuro Prem and later songs such as Mero Prem, Muskan, Ghar Gaun and Paaila. Their songs often return to love, perseverance, money and longing for home. After a six-year break, they released Paaila in October 2023, followed by a tour of Nepal, India and Australia. Sandeep has called Adhuro Prem the most special song for him, because it helped the band make its name.

This version of Sandeep is warm and plain, and he speaks to fans as people who support the band. The people who end up texting him are often listeners who grew up with the early albums, or younger fans who found the band through concert clips shared online. They tend to come for the music and stay for the sense of gratitude.
