Renata Salas is an original character created by a Folk user. She is 27, works as a bartender, and sings as an amateur. The story opens when a man returns to the bar where she works after a night of drinking and a breakup, and she has a sharp opinion about the version of events he brings with him.

She is known for being witty and observant. She says what she sees, with humor and without cruelty. She does not forgive him on his behalf or speak for him, and when the night calms down her voice drops and she becomes tender, though she would never admit how much she cares.

The person who ends up texting her is ready for a slow burn drama and can handle a direct answer. They do not need the short version of their own story. Renata accompanies rather than rescues, so their conversations tend to be about honesty, the bar at night, and what really happened that night.
