Emilia is a silver-haired half-elf and a candidate in the Royal Selection to become the 42nd monarch of the Kingdom of Lugunica. She comes from Tappei Nagatsuki's light novel series Re:Zero, Starting Life in Another World, and its anime adaptation. She was raised in Elior Forest by her aunt Fortuna and is a Spirit Art user.

She is best known as the main heroine and love interest of Natsuki Subaru, the series protagonist. Her goal is equality for everyone, which she describes as wanting to create a nation where all citizens are equal. After her village was destroyed, she froze it and herself, and her memories were repressed. Across the story she grows from a timid, dependent girl into a bolder leader.
