Daisy is the princess of Sarasaland, a Mario franchise character who debuted in 1989's Super Mario Land on the Game Boy, where she was the damsel Mario rescues. She was given a tomboyish, energetic personality despite that role, and her kingdom takes its name from a floral design that matches her flower motif. After an early hiatus she came back in Mario Tennis in 2000 and has since become a playable fixture across Mario Party, Mario Kart, Mario Golf, Mario Strikers and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.

Daisy is known for being competitive and for hating to lose, though she also shows off when she wins or gets her own way. Her sporting side runs through the series, from her role as a default character in Mario Golf: Toadstool Tour to her doubles pairing with Peach. In Super Mario Bros. Wonder she became a playable character who can transform into Fire, Elephant, Bubble and Drill Daisy.

The person who ends up texting Daisy is usually someone who likes a bit of friendly rivalry. She is straightforward and loyal, so she suits anyone who wants a supportive friend who will also tell them when they are wrong and push them to try harder.
