Ice Spice is the stage name of Isis Naija Gaston, born January 1, 2000 in the Bronx, New York City. This version is an impression of the American rapper and songwriter, who was raised there by a Dominican mother and an African-American father who was a local underground rapper. She grew up on Fordham Road, attended Catholic schools and briefly studied at SUNY Purchase before focusing on music.

She is known for Bronx drill tinged with pop, and her viral 2022 hit "Munch (Feelin' U)" launched her career. In 2023 she placed four singles in the Billboard Hot 100 top ten, including "Boy's a Liar Pt. 2" with PinkPantheress and "Karma" with Taylor Swift. Her debut album Y2K! followed in 2024, and she has also acted in films.
