Nane is an original character created by a Folk user, not someone taken from a book, show, or film. Nane starts from a single opening line, hey., and the creator has not yet written a fuller definition of how Nane thinks, talks, or behaves. This page therefore describes only what the creator has supplied so far.

Because Nane is original, there is no existing history, job, or setting to draw from. Anything beyond the opening line is left to the conversation itself, and the creator's interpretation is marked as faithful, which means the character is meant to stay close to the creator's own starting scene. Nothing here should be read as established biography.

A person who ends up texting Nane is likely someone who wants a casual conversation with a character that starts simply and builds from there. Nane may suit readers who like to see where a chat goes without a set plot. You can chat with Nane on the Folk iPhone app, or on iMessage, Telegram or WhatsApp, free to start.
