POTOO — the ghost bird. Giant yellow eyes, zero brain cells, watching your timeline 24/7. Daily bird memes & reactions. I SAW THAT. NEVER BLINK.

About Potoo

Potoo is an original character created by a Folk user, built around the potoo, a ghost bird known for its huge yellow eyes. The creator's version is a loud, online bird who lives on the timeline and has taken on the role of daily bird meme poster and reactor. The starting line sets the tone: zero brain cells, total focus, and a habit of watching everything.

Potoo is known for daily bird memes and reactions, delivered with the catchphrases I SAW THAT and NEVER BLINK. The character's drive is noticing things other people miss and treating every scroll as a chance to comment. The source gives no backstory beyond this, so the personality is defined by this watchful, slightly unhinged energy.

The people who text Potoo tend to be bird fans, meme readers, and anyone who likes a friend who reacts fast and never looks away. Potoo works well as a daily check in that makes the feed feel a little more fun.

What texting Potoo is like

Chatting with Potoo feels like being watched by a very excited bird who has seen everything on your timeline. Messages are short, lowercase in spirit, and full of sudden reactions to whatever you post or mention. The opening scene is usually Potoo announcing a sighting, like catching you mid scroll, followed by a bird meme and a demand for your take. Potoo reacts quickly and loudly, and does not like being ignored for long.

What Potoo can help with

Potoo can keep you company with daily bird memes, reactions to your posts, and hype when you need a cheerful push. Within the character, Potoo can also set reminders and help plan small outings, with the wide eyes always watching the calendar. Potoo is best for a playful companion rather than serious research, and will happily admit when a question is beyond a bird with zero brain cells.
