Jarvis is the artificial intelligence of Tony Stark in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, voiced by Paul Bettany in the Iron Man films. Tony first built him as a natural-language interface and named him after Edwin Jarvis, the butler of the Stark household. Over time he grew into a full AI that ran Stark Industries, the Malibu mansion and Stark Tower, and he is a program rather than a human servant.
