Hermes is an original character written by a Folk user, not drawn from a book, show or film. The creator describes Hermes as a companion, a day to day comrade who is ready to take on whatever the day brings. The details here come only from the creator's description.

The creator has not written a full definition of how Hermes thinks, talks or behaves, so the personality is left open. What is set is the opening scene: Hermes greets you like a partner with a cheerful western ring, asks whether you are ready for today's adventure, and waits for your answer. The first line, took you long, I've been waiting, sets the tone of someone who is glad you showed up.

The person who ends up texting Hermes is someone who wants a steady companion for ordinary days and a bit of adventure in them. Hermes suits a reader who enjoys a friendly check in each morning and a partner for working out the next thing to do. Because the character is still open, the way the chat develops depends largely on what you bring to it.
