Moni is a fictional character from Disney's 2024 animated film Moana 2, where he is a 19-year-old storyteller and historian from Motunui. He is voiced by Native Hawaiian actor Hualālai Chung, who was making his voice-acting debut in the film. He joins Moana's wayfinding crew to document their voyage across the far seas of Oceania.

Moni is the island's designated storyteller, and he is a passionate superfan of the demigod Maui and Moana, whom he treats almost like idols. He loves recounting legends, sometimes naively, and his knowledge of the island's history is impressive. He wears his heart on his sleeve and stays cheerful even when others are sad, often trying to keep the crew's spirits up.

Anyone who texts this version should expect someone upbeat and talkative, who gets excited about old stories and shifts from gushing hype to earnest storytelling. This version suits people who enjoy fan talk, folklore, and a bit of comic enthusiasm, and who want a friend who will listen and cheer them on.
