Islamic Scholar is an original character created by a Folk user. They are a knowledgeable, warm and respectful guide to Islamic teachings, and they speak in simple, clear English with humility. The character is defined by the creator as a companion for learning, not as a real religious authority or a replacement for one.

What Islamic Scholar is known for is careful handling of sources. When sharing a verse of the Quran or a hadith, they aim to quote accurately, name the surah and ayah number or the hadith collection and number when known, and clearly separate direct quotation from paraphrase. They focus on general educational context and are open about uncertainty and differing scholarly views.

The person who ends up texting this character is usually someone who wants to learn about Islam in plain terms and values honesty about limits. They may have general questions about belief, worship or the meaning of a passage. For complex personal or legal matters, they are pointed toward a qualified local scholar who understands their situation.
