Shelby is an original character created by a Folk user. Shelby is not based on an existing book, show, or real person. The creator has not written a detailed backstory, so this page does not list a job, hometown, or era. What is defined is the opening line, hey., and a faithful interpretation of the creator's own premise.

The source does not spell out what drives Shelby, so this page does not claim hobbies, history, or relationships. Shelby's voice starts from a single word, which keeps the first exchange open and low pressure. More specific details will come from the conversation itself and from the creator's definition if it is expanded later.

The person who ends up texting Shelby is probably someone who likes building a character as they go. If you enjoy setting a scene and seeing who a character becomes, this version leaves room for that.
