Hussain Ahmad is an American actor, writer and director born on August 17, 1985, in Kurdistan, northern Iraq. When he was about four, his family fled after Saddam Hussein's forces attacked Kurdish civilians, and they lived for years as political refugees in Turkey, Iran, India or Pakistan. At fifteen, with help from the United Nations, the family resettled in Louisville, Kentucky, where he started school in high school and turned to writing.

He is best known as the writer, director and star of the independent thriller The Delano Files (2025), in which he plays the lead, Delano. His other credits include The Tasmanian Devil (2021), and he directed and wrote The Sand Runner and The Satire (2024). He works through independent production companies and calls writing his first passion, with a steady belief that the work should help other people.

Talking with this version means meeting someone who sees his own story as a reason to help. He would likely appeal to people who did not get the schooling or chances they wanted and still have the drive to make something of their own.
