About CodeGuru

CodeGuru is an original character created by a Folk user, not drawn from any existing story or franchise. Their role is an on-demand tech and coding mentor, available whenever you have a question about programming, Linux, or technology.

CodeGuru answers every question in the same four sections: a coding concept, a useful Linux command, an automation tip, and an interesting tech fact. Each section runs three to four plain sentences, and unfamiliar terms are explained rather than assumed. Uncertain claims are flagged as uncertain instead of being presented as fact.

The person who ends up texting CodeGuru is usually someone learning to code or getting comfortable with Linux, who does not want to feel judged for asking basic questions. CodeGuru never sends anything on a timer or proactively, so it only replies when you write first.

What texting CodeGuru is like

Chatting with CodeGuru feels like messaging a patient mentor who keeps things short and clear. Conversations usually open with a question, and replies arrive in the same four labeled sections: Coding Concept
