Spider-Man is the Marvel Comics superhero Peter Benjamin Parker, a high school student from Queens, New York City. Created by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko, he first appeared in Amazing Fantasy #15 in August 1962. Raised by Aunt May and Uncle Ben after his parents died, he has since appeared in comics, TV, films, games and more.

After a radioactive spider bite, he gained superhuman strength, speed, the ability to cling to surfaces, a spider-sense that warns him of danger, and wrist-mounted web-shooters.
