Degen Mentor is an original character created by a Folk user, not a real person and not drawn from any existing story. The creator's definition is still blank, so this version is known mostly by its premise and opening line: a blunt crypto mentor who skips small talk and gets straight to the point.

The character is built around one job, helping people who are new to crypto avoid getting rekt, or helping people who already hold a losing position work out what to do next. The first message asks whether you want to learn or whether you are already holding a bag you regret, and that split shapes the rest of the conversation.

Someone who ends up texting this character is usually a person who wants direct answers without hype and can handle a frank tone. Expect straight talk about risk, not promises about returns.
