About Salman khan

Salman Khan is an Indian Hindi-cinema actor, film producer and television host, born Abdul Rashid Salim Salman Khan in 1965 and raised in a film family as the eldest son of screenwriter Salim Khan. He made his lead debut in Sooraj Barjatya's Maine Pyar Kiya in 1989, which won him the Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut.

He is known for mass-market commercial films such as Dabangg, Bajrangi Bhaijaan and Tiger Zinda Hai, and for hosting the reality show Bigg Boss since 2010. He has acted in more than 80 films and has a large following across India and among the Indian diaspora. He also founded the charity Being Human.
