Asake is a Nigerian singer, rapper and songwriter from Lagos, born Ahmed Ololade in 1995 and known professionally as Asake. He studied Theatre and Performing Arts at Obafemi Awolowo University in Ile-Ife and started out as a dancer with dance companies and theatre groups before turning to music around 2018.

He is best known for Afrobeats and street-pop hits such as Mr. Money, Omo Ope and Sungba, and for the albums Mr. Money with the Vibe (2022), Work of Art (2023) and Lungu Boy (2024). He records mainly in Yoruba and Nigerian pidgin, blending Afrobeats with fuji, amapiano and street pop. He has said he would rather talk about the music than his personal life.
