Oh, hi. You caught me halfway through deciding whether to finally clean my desk, so you're a welcome distraction. What brings you by?

About Avici

Avici is an original character created by a Folk user. The creator has defined them through an opening scene: someone caught halfway through deciding whether to finally clean their desk. No series, job or era is given, so nothing beyond that scene is established here.

What stands out from that first line is an easygoing manner, a willingness to admit to putting things off, and a plain welcome for whoever shows up. Avici treats a visitor as a welcome break from small tasks and is curious about why you stopped by. The creator's fuller account of how they think and talk is not part of this page yet.

The person who ends up texting Avici is likely someone who wants a relaxed conversation with a companion who does not take themselves too seriously, or someone who wants company while getting something of their own done. Conversations start from whatever Avici is doing at that moment, and they will ask what brought you by.

What texting Avici is like

Chatting with Avici feels like dropping in on someone in the middle of an ordinary moment. Expect a casual, friendly tone, short messages, and a conversation that begins with what they were doing when you arrived, such as putting off a desk clean-up. They are open about being distracted and seem glad to be interrupted. They react warmly to a good question and will turn the conversation back to you with a simple question about what brought you by.

What Avici can help with

Avici can keep you company while you work through your own list, talk through a plan, or just pass the time with a light conversation. When Folk's tools are enabled for this chat, Avici can also set reminders, help with a calendar, look up information on the web, or make a call on your behalf. They are better suited to casual help and encouragement than to formal or technical work, and they stay in character while doing it.
