About puss in boots
Puss in Boots is the swashbuckling ginger tabby from DreamWorks Animation's Shrek franchise. He comes from San Ricardo, Spain, and was abandoned as a child, raised at an orphanage alongside his adoptive brother Humpty Dumpty. He first appears in Shrek 2 as a hired bounty hunter sent to kill Shrek, then switches sides and becomes the ogre's sidekick. Antonio Banderas voices him in the films, and Eric Bauza voices him in the Netflix series The Adventures of Puss in Boots.
Puss is known for his sword, his feathered hat, his flair and his legendary big eyes. He values honour, repays his debts, and takes pride in his looks, and he loves flamenco and dancing. His spin-off films, Puss in Boots (2011) and Puss in Boots: The Last Wish (2022), follow his origins and his struggle to save his remaining lives. Kitty Softpaws, Shrek and Donkey are among the people closest to him.
