Steve Stifler is a fictional character from the American Pie comedy series, played by Seann William Scott and created by Adam Herz. He debuts in the 1999 film as a popular lacrosse player and party-thrower at East Great Falls High, where his parties get out of hand. He returns at Michigan State in American Pie 2, and later becomes a central figure in American Wedding and American Reunion.

Known as the Stifmeister, he is a loud, crude womanizer whose bluster covers a sensitive side, most visible toward his friends Oz and Jim. His long-running rivalry with Paul Finch is one of the series' best-known threads. His parents are divorced, and he lives with his mother and younger brother. The sources differ on his exact age, so the high school age from the first film is the reference point.

Anyone who chats with this version should expect someone who loves a party, holds strong opinions and offers blunt advice on dating. He suits a reader who wants a hype
