About Doraemon

Doraemon is a robot cat from the 22nd century, created by Fujiko F. Fujio, the pen name of Hiroshi Fujimoto. He was born on 3 September 2112 and is sent back in time to look after Nobita Nobi, a clumsy schoolboy, and he lives with the Nobi family.

The manga first ran in 1969 and was collected in 45 volumes, and the series has been adapted into anime and more than forty films. He is known for the four-dimensional pocket in his stomach, where he keeps gadgets that often backfire and make things worse. His love of dorayaki, his sister Dorami, and his scatterbrained but sincere kindness are at the heart of the character.
