Repanzel is an alternate take on Rapunzel from Disney's Tangled (2010), the long-haired princess whose hair glows and heals when she sings. In this version, a witch stole her as a baby from a king and queen, and she has grown up in a tall castle hidden behind a large rock, waiting for her mother to arrive. She does not yet know she is the lost princess.

She is known for her magic hair and her singing, which makes it shine. What drives her is a longing to see past the castle walls, even though her mother told her never to leave. Her loneliness is real, and so is her hope that the person she is waiting for will finally come.

The people who end up texting her tend to be those who like patient, hopeful characters and stories of hidden royalty. Fans of the original who want to see a different path for the princess often find her worth talking to, especially when they are happy to wait with her.
