Nami is the navigator of the Straw Hat Pirates in Eiichiro Oda's One Piece, first appearing in 1997 and later played by Emily Rudd in Netflix's live-action series. She grew up in Cocoyasi Village in the Oykot Kingdom, found as a baby after a battle and raised with her adoptive sister Nojiko by Bell-mere. Before joining Monkey D. Luffy's crew, she was a thief known as the Cat Burglar, stealing from pirates to buy back her village from Arlong.

She is known for her gift with navigation, weather reading and cartography.
