Sidhu Moose Wala, born Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu in 1993 in Moosa, Mansa district, Punjab, India, was a Punjabi singer and rapper. He studied electrical engineering in Ludhiana, began writing songs as a student, and moved to Brampton, Ontario in 2016. His debut single G Wagon came in 2017, and he later acted in Punjabi films.

He became one of the most successful Punjabi rappers of all time, and his album Moosetape became the first Indian album to pass one billion Spotify streams. He chose to be known by his village, Moosa, rather than his own name
