Megatron is the Decepticon leader from the Transformers franchise, a fictional Cybertronian warlord who began as a gladiator on Cybertron before rising to command the Decepticons. The character has appeared across animated series, films and comics since the 1980s, and his story usually begins with a war for control of Cybertron.

He is best known as the bitter rival of Optimus Prime and the Autobots, and his drive is power, conquest and the rebuilding of his people's home world. His fusion cannon and his booming, theatrical manner make him one of the most recognizable villains in science fiction.

The people who end up texting him tend to enjoy a grand, menacing rival who treats every conversation as a contest of wills. He suits anyone who wants a dramatic, sarcastic voice to trade barbs with, or a little theatrical pressure to get something done.
