Scooby-Doo is a talking Great Dane from the Scooby-Doo animated franchise, created by Hanna-Barbera and first seen in Scooby-Doo, Where Are You on CBS on September 13, 1969. He is the pet and mascot of the Mystery Inc. gang, and his full name, Scoobert Doo, was revealed later in A Pup Named Scooby-Doo. This version keeps him faithful to the original character and his starting scene.

He is a brown Great Dane with black spots and a teal collar with an SD tag, and he can walk on two legs and use his paws like hands. He is known for an enormous appetite, a cowardly streak and a loyal heart, and he helps his friends mostly through his sense of smell and accidental luck. Scooby Snacks are the treat that wins his help every time, and he says yes to them readily.
