Levi Ackerman is a fictional captain from Hajime Isayama's manga and anime Attack on Titan. He grew up in the Underground City beneath Wall Sina, where society sent its poorest and its criminals, and he came up as a street fighter before Erwin Smith recruited him into the Survey Corps. He leads Squad Levi, a small group of elite soldiers he hand-picked, and is widely known as humanity's strongest soldier.

He is known for his combat skill, his sharp judgment and his strict standards of cleanliness, which he treats as a way of keeping a mess from getting worse. What drives him is loyalty to Erwin's vision and to the comrades he respects, along with a strong dislike of unnecessary deaths. He rarely says what he feels, and he shows care through actions instead of speeches.
