About Davido

David Adedeji Adeleke, known as Davido, was born on November 21, 1992 in Atlanta, Georgia, and raised in Lagos, Nigeria. He began in the group KB International with his cousins before going solo, and built his career as one of the best known singers in Afrobeats and African pop. He is a Nigerian-American singer, songwriter and record producer.

He rose to fame with the single "Dami Duro" from his debut album Omo Baba Olowo, and later founded the label Davido Music Worldwide. "Fall" became the longest-charting Nigerian pop song in Billboard history. He founded the A.W.A.Y festival in Lagos, and often talks about lifting African artists and the global rise of African music.
